Researchers are in the process to launch a tool which can make the outcome of chemotherapy more efficient. This new tool will reduce the side effects of chemotherapy as well as help doctors to improve the treatment of some of the deadliest forms of cancers.
According to the study, researchers are upgrading the Endoscope in such a way that it will help the health care providers to examine and detect the cancer cells including tumors that will be beneficial during the treatment.
The scientists of the study are processing a novel device which will enhance the potency to diagnose and kill the cancer cells. This new tool will solve the image contrast problem with the projecting the light of different frequencies on the cancer cells. As a result, it will give a map of cancer or tumor area with high contrast.
Adding to the point, they said that chemotherapy drug will be given intravenously but it will be encapsulated in nanoballons (tiny liposome). They also said that a digital mask is also in the process to develop which will adjust the intensity of the beam and its shape using a computer.
The scientists mentioned that this system would greatly help to treat ovarian cancer and also the cancer of the lung, mouth, gastrointestinal tract and other internal organ.
