Acne and pimple is such a common problem that everybody experiences it at least once in their life time. It can occur at any age, but young people are more likely to have this problem.
Acne can be of many types like mild, less severe or severe. Many people fail to get rid of this problem even after using various treatments such as medicines, home remedies and many more. In cases, these remedies work wonderfully, but sometime, acne reappears as soon as they stop using the remedies or medicines.
So the question is why acne treatment doesn’t work in some cases? In acne, it is important to identify the actual cause, because if you do not address the actual cause, your effort will go in vain making it worse.
Some of the most common causes of acne are:
1. Diet:
Diet is the most important factor for acne or breakouts. The foods contain a huge amount of carbohydrate such as chocolate, cold drinks and ice cream can worsen the acne.
2. Stress:
Stress is the main culprit in most of the acne sufferers. Stress stimulates the activation of the oil gland under the skin, triggering them to produce more oils. This results in clogging of the pores and cause acne.
3. Junk Food:
People, who consume junk food more often such as deep fried food, are more susceptible to developing acne.
4. Sebum Gland:
Acne occurs in the areas, where the sebum glands are more in numbers such as face, neck, chest, shoulders, arms and back. Sebum glands are responsible for producing oils in the skin. They clogged the pores by combining with the dead skin cells, causing the bacteria to grow.
5. Use of Cosmetics:
Using substandard cosmetics or leaving make-up for hours can cause acne breakouts.
6. Medications:
Some particular medications such as androgens, lithium or corticosteroids can lead to acne breakout.
7. Dirty Skin:
Pollution or dust is one of the most common reasons for acne. You should always wash your face with a gentle face cleanser at least thrice in a day, especially after coming from outside. Leaving the dirt on the skin for a long period can block the pores which in turn makes the bacteria to grow faster.
8. Hormonal imbalance:
Hormonal imbalance is one of the prime reasons for acne, but most of the time, even doctors also fail to address it as a cause. You can request your dermatologist to suggest some hormonal tests to determine the cause.
So, if you are having acne and not getting any fruitful results from treatment/therapies, do not get fed up. Try to rule out the root cause to achieve an incredible result.
